This mountain is ideal for those without technical experience, who wish to take classes in mountaineering ice climbing, crevasse rescue, and skiing. It is ideal for acclimatization to prepare for the 6,000 mts mountains from the Summit the city of Huaraz can be observed, as well as the following mountains: Churup, Sacsha, Cashan, Ocshapalca, Ranrapalca, Tocllaraju, Huatzan (K2 peruano), Hualcan, Huayhuash, and Huascaran.

- Day 1: Huaraz (3,100 mts) - Base Camp Vallunaraju (4,474 mts).
- Day 2: Base Camp Vallunaraju (4,474 mts) - Morrena Camp. (4,900 mts).
- Day 3: Morrena Camp. (4,900 mts) - Summit Vallunaraju (5,686 mts) - Base camp Vallunaraju (4,474 mts) back to Huaraz.
